2000 Phoenix Yellow Driver on BAT

Post by TomR » Wed Jul 25, 2018 2:51 pm

My trusty daily driver just went up on BAT. Originally found it on this website in 2009. Time to retire it from daily use and let someone else cherish it. Beautiful car given that it has 182k miles all in New England. I've obsessively taken care of it. Hope someone here buys it and drives it like it deserves.

You should put the lip back on. It will help with the sale . Good luck. You forgot to post the link .

Thanks! I moved the lip to the garage to reinstall before pictures and then completely forgot about it. I'll post pics in the morning. I took it off when I bought the car at 57k miles as it was already pretty beat up and I knew it had to last a lot more miles. I drove it without the wing also - hoping to minimize theft (and police) threats.

Did you chrome the rear trunk bar?

No, the trunk bar and rear suspension tie bar were both chrome when I bought the car. I thought that was standard.

They came a grey color. Chrome is not cheap either. Looks cool in chrome. I didn't notice the bar underneath the car.

Auction ends Wednesday about 3:00. Still pretty cheap for an excellent driver type-R with a lot of new parts. Thanks.

Damn seeing this thing sell for 20 makes it really hard not to put mine on there. As it's very very similar in condition but mine is clean title.

Nothing unclean about my title.... And the sale included probably $5K worth of desirable spares

For a short while there were three PY ITRs on BAT at the same time, and the same people were bidding on multiple cars. BAT takes a couple weeks to put your auction up so you never know the competition. ITRs are obviously going up in value but I'm not sure how deep the buyers go. You can always give it a try.

So did the buyer come through? That was a weird bid from 15 to 20 at the end.
