My '98 (0665) is for sale.

Post by flydc2 » Wed May 16, 2018 2:18 pm

Hey everyone. I've been a member here for a long time and I have no idea what happened to my account? I had to make a new one, hope it doesn't look bad my first post is a for sale.
Regardless, here is my CL ad:

Love the ITR and will always be a part of the community even after I sell mine.
Any questions/comments don't hesitate!

It is a nice ride haha, but a rhd s2k is unfortunately not an acceptable form of payment for bills.

Car looks great!

As far as registering a new account, we all had to after the old forums went offline.

Good luck with the sale!

Thanks everyone. That was thought initially, something happened to these forums at some point. Glad to know I'm not crazy.

So question for you all.
It has come to my attention, that mileage reported on my ITR is being recorded as exempt now if you pull a carfax, or look at the title.
Any car older than 10 model years can be exempt from odometer disclosure.
At some point between the bank holding the lien and the state issuing the title, once the lien was paid, a new SC title was issued, with mileage exempt. I was never asked to report mileage, and I didn't think anything of it until now.
There is a process to correct and get a new title where I can include the mileage on the document, however it appears to be a slow mail-in process.
I'm pursuing that right now, and I want to be as transparent as possible as a seller here. Is something like a mileage exempt title a deterrent for you from buying a car like this?

Unrelated note, parts to repair the air conditioning are arriving today and should be blowing cold before the weekend is over.

Do you have service or inspection records? That can help you validate your mileage and a lot times they show up in the Carfax info.

Also, based on the recent 98 that sold on BaT, you could probably do well on BaT. Just something to think about.
98-0034 (sold)
00-XXXX (sold)

practice chaos to develop control.
