Type R Club of America

Hey guys,

I'm a newly registered owner, but a long time lurker.

My first taste of vtec was a CW Integra Type R and I'd like to get back into one if possible.

I'm looking for a decent CW or PY integra type R at any reasonable price.

I'm not real picky, but the price should reflect its condition and status.

It seems I keep missing the boat on postings.

Please help.

Establishing a "reasonable" price?

My issue with selling my '01 PY w/77,000 miles 2nd owner is...where will I find a replacement, at a reasonable price?
Even if I discount it, because it was totaled in '08 (high hood hit with one corner of valve cover broken) to $35K, where will I find my replacement? https://www.passportforums.com/threads/ ... -car.8152/

You can also recognize that now is your time and now you should be shopping for the CTR, which is priced at MSRP ($38,000K).

Sure, in 25 years there will only be a hand full of Integra ITRs left, but there won't be many CTRs left either. Everything will be electric and faster than both of these ITRs.

I appreciate the responses and yes I have thought about a JDM dc2, db8 or ek9, but the USDM ITR is my top choice becuase it was my "unicorn" in high school. Its one id like to keep in the family to pass down to my son if that makes a difference.

I currently own an 05 NSX, a race prepped 88 CRX, a turbocharged 2008 BB CR S2000 and a 2005 supercharged GPW S2000.

Also, I'm aware of bringatrailer pricing and current market trends. That's what my "reasonable" is based on. I do have funds in hand to be ready to pull the trigger for the right one.

Keep in mind I'm looking for a very well conditioned specimen, so take that into account if repaints, interior bits or mechanical work is needed.

Yours looks great! It's as simple as if you want to sell or not. Name your price and if it's acceptable, we go from there.

Here in lies the issue for current ITR owners...

Can you sell it and get good money rn, in most cases more then you paid, YES.

Can you go and replace said vehicle with your desired preference after sale, or once remorse sets in, probably NOT.

The record setting yellow R that just sold on bat had the commenters saying here comes all the ITR’s out of the woodwork and flooding the market. Where are they ???

There is not a comparable market in my opinion for these cars. High bids for some. The Canadian versions seem to take a hit. The border fee and taxes ? Rust isn’t pictured on a few interesting 97s over there.

I tried to buy 3 ITRs over the past 2 years. All 3 fell through. Stinks but it can wait.

While everyone is scrambling to buy ITRs at the height of the market, I scooped up an '08 Mugen Civic Si for $7500. 1 of 1000. Tempted to buy some more before people realize it's the next sought after Honda.

I'll hang on to it until it needs a clutch, or brakes, or spark plugs.
