[SoCal] 1998 CW ITR K Swapped

Post by noahf » Sat May 16, 2020 10:57 pm

CAR IS CURRENTLY PENDING, DEPOSIT RECEIVED.

I think it may be time to let someone else enjoy this ITR. Its been sitting for far to long under my ownership. I got this ITR from a friend in September of 2017 and have maybe driven it 20 times. And most of those drives were either to a shop for tuning, corner balancing, or etc.

Number is unknown but believed to be 1160.

Chassis: 1998 CW ITR
Title: Salvage due to theft - some of the panels are not og to this car. under certain lighting situations you can see the CW variation between certain panels. Its not bad and hard to see, but its there.
Condition: This isnt a show car, this wasnt a concourse car. This was built to have fun on a track with the goal of being able to drive it to any track in the US. There are door dings and flaws here and there. Nothing major, but again, not a concourse car. Mileage is around 102k

Engine:
k20z3 swap including z3 trans (lsd)
- swapped k20a2 oil pump/pan
- CSF k swap radiator
- fully functioning and working AC
- fully functioning and working heater
- NO powersteering.
- full hytech exhaust - headers and twin loop. This thing sounds amazing and makes good power.
- AEM v2 ecu
- fully tuned by @armentuned and made 210/165 to the wheels. Perfect throttle, idle, driveability. Fully tuned and runs great.
- there are some minor things that could be changed in the engine bay, ie intake, as they were not the final goal of the car but instead whats currently installed.

Suspension:
- All PCI/Kiwi bushing setup: front lca, upper arms, rear lowers, rear camber, rear toe
- All wheel bearings replaced with new oem units. full rebuilt 5 lug suspension. 36mm front axels.
- Koni/GC setup - this is the GC spec'd Koni strut, not the yellow. Its their special one, and as a result, this has a standard dc2 rear trailing arm not a dc2r rear trailing arm (the struts are only available in a ek spacing)
- Corner balanced by Chewerks

Interior:
- Either jdm dc5r or dc2r front seats, with pci sliding rails
- stock rear seats
- stock itr carpet, floor mats
- minor issue with the front dash where it meets the windshield, see my thread for details.

Exterior
- ICB x First Molding Carbon Aero Vented USDM hood - Also includes OEM Hood
- Comes with USDM & JDM rear tail lights. Currently has UKDM installed, but not included.

Does not come with: Spoon sw388's, Spoon Gen 1 steering wheel, Spoon Calipers, Spoon lug nuts.

Price: $17000 - bring your own wheels.
Options: I will sell any of the spoon stuff at market value to any person that buys the car, otherwise not available.

Shell Option: As there are always people that want a shell, I will happily sell just the shell. It will be full interior, no engine swap, no exhaust, and 32mm 5 lug with struts. Price: $12000 - bring your own wheels.

Prices are firm. I dont need to sell the car, but think its time to move onto different projects and have more time dedicated to fewer projects. If you want to pay me less, I will happily take parts off to match your price.

DM me on here and we can begin a more serious conversation as needed.

It is quite strong. Its a joy to drive, whenever I do drive it. It hugs and scoots.

and yes, current registration and CA title in hand.

thank you. i think i built exactly what i wanted: a perfect weekend track car that can be driven to the track, ran all day, and drive it home. It was some early 2000's nostalgia parts because I always wanted Spoon stuff and couldnt afford it back then. but all in all, its very balanced. Enough power to be powerful, but balanced.

though its not something I would be concerned about, this car isnt built in a way to get BAR'd.

You would need to change out:
Exhaust
Intake
add Type -S EVAP stuff back in
Switch to a different ECU
Modify or Replace Gas Tank

Also, in the current covid 19 situation, I do not imagine carb/bar examines will be available for many many months.
