On the verge of losing my mind.

So it seems the mechanic who listed the car for the owner, re-listed the for sale because I was asking detail information on the car. Which I then asked him not to do and then to please remove. Didnt do.

And so as I prepare to leave work early, confirm my hotels along the way, as well as trailer pickup at a remote location 12+ hours away and call the mechanic to make sure everything is in line....

HE TELLS ME THEY SOLD THE CAR ON TUESDAY....

I have an accepted deposit from the seller on July 13th that references the vehicle VIN and states that acceptance of the deposit is a binding agreement, of which he replied to the email saying that he has received payment.

I was obviously NOT HAPPY and trying to get more of the story from the "mechanic" and he said hey i dont man, im at work and cant argue this right now and hung up on me. Currently waiting for the actual owner of the vehicle to call me back because Im about to go postal.

I FUCKING HATE CRAIGSLIST PEOPLE

SMH.

that sounds like headache.

did you send the money thru paypal? I would just file a claim, to get that money back if they aren't cooperative,

I got my deposit back yes...

And he said.. "I refunded the deposit so its all good dude"...

A deposit is a binding agreement. Bottom line.

I gave the deposit back . Was this a interest free payday loan for the seller? This was rampant on bmx sites years ago and is now against the rules. I guess it also happens on bookface groups.
