Comp97 checking in

Post by Comp97GSR » Sun Jun 27, 2021 11:17 am

How many OG's still here?

0761 is still going strong, drove her 300mi last week. Thats more than the last 5 yrs combined..LOL

Just bought the wife a 2019 CTR #23513 with 5800mi on the odo. Been thinking of ditching the EP3 and ST to grab me a higher mileage one.

Hopefully I'll get to Expo to see old friends.

It's the wife's. But I might bring it. I've only put roughly 40mi of seat time in it. It's one badass ride. It came with 18in Gram Lights +38 offset running 255/40. In R mode the car was still compliant, and the steering got crisper. Hitting a few medium speed corners it felt like it was extremely planted and wanted more... much more. It's got that raw R feeling, but does it in a refined package if that makes sense. I love this car. I might even consider selling the ITR and grabbing myself one. Power delivery is nice. It pulls much better in the top end compared to my ST. The ST is at full boost by 2500 rpm roughly and has no turbo lag... but runs out of breathe around 5500 rpm. The R comes to life higher in the rpm band and feels like it makes power to fuel cutoff, though I don't know for sure because by the time all 306 ponies are running I'm not looking at the gauges...LOL

How have you been? Are you in NE or SC? If you are in NE, I might be in your neck of the woods to snake hunt next spring.

Would love to see you at Expo! If the last few years haven't made it clear to everyone, there is zero guarantee that this event happens (or will happen again after this year). It's the 20th anniversary, and I really hope to see a lot of old faces again.

Glad to hear you still have the ITR, and your wife now has a CTR!

I hope to see you at Expo this year. Bring either car, it's more important you make it out. I'm team fly and (borrow someone's car to) drive.

That's awesome your wife is daily driving a CTR. 8-)

Not sure if I'm OG starting in 2007, but I'll be there in a car. Not sure which one yet... ITR is down and won't be done in time.

Still alive and well... went to expo 1 and I think I've only missed 3 since. 01-1075 is still alive but just barely as she's undergoing the knife as we speak. Hopefully it'll be ready for expo.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at expo!
My car is in the same boat John. It’s seen maybe 500 miles in the last 4 years. Hoping to sort it out over this coming winter and start driving it again next year.
