Re: VSM ITR build 01-0388

Sorry to hear the car didn’t let you run out the day, old cars right. Glad it wasn’t more significant. As always love the pics!

Re: Dumb, Stubborn, and bound to end up penniless…….

When I ordered my Hytech header I asked them to install a vband and they told me they strictly use donut gaskets because the vbands will break. Yeah I think that makes sense for a most cars. I think it's one of those things that yes vbands are superior and what you "should" use for "...

Dumb, Stubborn, and bound to end up penniless…….

Track day fun https://vimeo.com/679619911 So I do feel like the simulator has helped and I think seat time will help my sim performance as well but it certainly isn’t 1 to 1. The added input/sensations available in real life help tremendously but also comes with the tension of increased consequences...

Re: Tips on looking at carbon/oil build up on exhaust valve ports?

I'm beginning the process to remove my head (taking my time removing a few parts here and there) and I had a good look at the exhaust valve ports and have some noob questions about what I am seeing. My cylinder 4 exhaust port looks like this IMG_20220217_181738.jpg IMG_20220217_181651.jpg Cylinder'...

Re: Suspension tuning - dampers, spring rates, etc.

What's the general consensus on extended ball joints/roll center kits? Did some looking into them this afternoon but most threads are 2010 or older and the opinions are divided. A lot of companies made/make them but Honed Developments seems to be the only one that's done "testing" and has...

Recaro seat rails

I’m using a set of Bride rails with JDM Recaros. I’m pretty happy with them. Height is great (I’m about 5’10’). I feel like because they are JDM the left side has a bit less range of motion than the right, but not an issue for me. Something to keep in mind is that the usdm seats will fold back under...

Re: Expo 2022?

I think my plan will be to fly out & ship my car to my parents house, north of Milwaukee, WI then drive from there.

Will pin down logistics for sure once we have hard dates.

Would be amazing to link up with any coming south along that route.

Claimed: Hood, free for pickup

This is the hood that came with 010386. It’s OEM steel style, but aftermarket. Painted black. (NHBP)

I’ll get some photos up soon but free for the pick up. Just time to get it out of the garage. In 91403. PM me if interested.
