Re: Civic Type R discussion

Went out to the garage, popped the hood and took a quick look. There's a thin little plate around the top of the shock tower, under the nuts securing the strut covering up whatever may be underneath, and at this point I'm not particularly in the mood to go messing with it. Maybe check with a dealer...

Re: Civic Type R discussion

It appears the CTR has factory adjustable front camber. Apparently the shock tower holes are slotted. Does someone want to confirm?

Thought I made that readily apparent. ;)

Re: Civic Type R discussion

What pads and wheels/tires will you be running? I'm going to switch the tires to Pirelli Trofeo R (softer compound/better tread to void ratio), will bring the stock Conti's as rain tires. OEM pads, fluid (will bleed and flush a bit in a week or two, presently ~850 miles and I had the brakes smoking...

Re: Civic Type R discussion

There's no way I'm tracking with 20" tires lol. I'll probably get some OZ 18x9 in 24/40/18. The additional CTR tire options (re: sizes) for the CTR added legwork in producing the Tire Discussion Thread. I had previously capped the information at 17''. Yeah I did a little research a few weeks b...

Re: Civic Type R discussion

JeffX from Temple of VTEC: I spoke to some folks at Honda in Torrance about this today. They're confident that this is an issue with either a bad part or perhaps a problem during the manufacturing process (somebody installed something improperly, or the wrong part, kinked hose, etc.). Or it could be...

Re: Civic Type R discussion

Just curious, what are people's thoughts on the car in general? Even from those who don't have one? Any feedback from those who actually do own one? I've only sat in one and really like the overall quality of the car. It's a bit over the top on styling, but I actually like it overall. I would love ...

Civic Type R discussion

Anyone have a CTR on this board?

I'll be picking up a champ white in Iowa in the first week of September.
