Re: FK8 CTR HPDE Thread

I called Honda Customer Service again today after the local dealership asked if there were any warning lights (I said, "No.") and wanted $95 to run a diagnostic for the high coolant temperature. They were clear that it wouldn't be covered under warranty. The Honda CSR recommended that I h...

Re: FK8 CTR HPDE Thread

Can you feel if stability control is still on even when it says "off"? Yes. Off isn't off. There is a procedure to actually turn it off, but the rear brake issue prevented me from trying it. Process: 1. Turn car on. 2. Turn off the parking brake 3. Press and hold the brake pedal 4. Turn t...

Maybe running with traction off will disable it.

Re: FK8 CTR HPDE Thread

Front camber can be adjusted from the factory.

I was able to get -1.6 (driver) and -1.9 (passenger) at the front.

Re: Civic Type R discussion

I went for an alignment yesterday.

-1.6 and -1.9 front. Not bad being 100% factory.

I'm guessing there's some slop at the knuckle to bring the 1.6 to 1.9. I think I'm happy with this until I have to replace the OEM tires. Then I'll look into loosening all the bolts to max out the bolt slop.

Re: Hawk HT-10 front pads and HPS rear pads

Really have no use for these pads since I sold the ITR. Someone want to make a reasonable offer?

Re: Civic Type R discussion

Did yours have the guide pins already removed? Went back and looked again, guide pin is still in place. Edit: Am about to swap on my tack rims/tires ... lugnuts are 7/8" - 21mm, studs are 14 (for sure) x 1.25 (I think). What's the torque spec for the lug nuts (80-85 as ususal)? Never mind, sto...
