Re: Need Some Honda Advice - CTR Warranty
Honda stated they would not cover any future warranty issues related to the current ECU/PCM. The GM suggested they replace ECU with a new part at my expense ($770) to ensure that car was 100% covered with the original terms of the new car warranty. Considering the situation, I'm not comfortable driv...

Re: Need Some Honda Advice - CTR Warranty
I'll know more on Tuesday, when the franchise swaps the current ECU/PCM with a virgin unit from corporate to take a baseline.
Based on the interactions so far, I'm not getting my hopes up.

Re: Need Some Honda Advice - CTR Warranty

Re: Need Some Honda Advice - CTR Warranty
In regard to your first two questions, I was told by the GM the data suggests the ECU (he called it the PCM) was modified because the boost levels recorded were not possible with the stock programming.
Yes, the symptoms are identical to that thread.

Need Some Honda Advice - CTR Warranty
Long story short, I took my car in for a check engine light "P2261" error code, Honda Tech line (per dealer) reviews data and says PCM was modified and will not cover repairs under warranty. I've taken the car to driving schools but it's never been raced. The car is 100% stock. I called Ho...
