Re: Citrus3000psi build log 2020 and beyond

More slow progress reports.

I didn’t like the way the shift linkage and oil looked with the yellow zinc so I took these to the powder coat. I also had some other misc parts done.

I have another batch of stuff to go to the plater and once I get that back I will be able to finish the long block ...

Damn man I cannot believe this. I can't imagine how you are feeling. :( Good luck on the hunt, hope she turns up and the thieves put in jail.

Re: Heater valve, is it 100% closed when on climate on cold?

Heater valve is a ball valve, if it’s closed then nothing should be coming through. Be careful though if there’s any dead-end passage it will be a b*tch to bleed your coolant system.

I just wasn't sure if the valve closed all the way. I will plan to block them off. When I fill the system with ...

Heater valve, is it 100% closed when on climate on cold?

I don't have a heater core and had this line looped with some AN hoses. I'm removing all my AN lines that do not go to the firewall/engine bay with hard lines.

I guess I don't understand the purpose of looping this line, the internet pretty much says to loop it and your car is fine (which I blindy ...

Re: Citrus3000psi build log 2020 and beyond

Engine assembly has started. I switched from my old top mount setup to a Mini ram. The header and turbine are ceramic coated.

I really dislike how the oil pan turned out with the yellow zinc. I'm going to drop these back off at the powder coat and get it sprayed black along with the shift ...

Re: Citrus3000psi build log 2020 and beyond

Its been some time but have gotten a little done on the car. Brakes are all done and bleed. Finding seal kits for the dual piston front calipers (95 acura legend) proved difficult, I ended up getting some off brand on ebay. The boot seal doesn't work great on one I feel like. I could see myself ...

Re: Citrus3000psi build log 2020 and beyond

This shows how much work I've done on the ITR lately.

The weather finally got good here but I've been too busy with work. That will slow down in the next few weeks and I will get back to wrenching. 8-)

Re: Citrus3000psi build log 2020 and beyond

Driving the S2K has brought a lot of memories of my ITR experiences. I'm exciting to get the ITR finished more than ever now. I did get the ITR on wheels so I could push it out of the way so I could lift the S2K and just check out the under body. A lot of small cob webs and some dirt is all I found ...

WTB: Engine splash shield.

I've been looking all over for these. There is a cheap aftermarket part that is absolute garbage. So looking for the OEM unit. That doesn't have any tears or rips in the plastic.

Let me know if you have one laying around, will pay a proper price for it.

It is number 6 in the picture.
