Re: Suspension

Here’s the COT style ones I used. IIRC, I ran the shorter ones up front in medium and the longer ones in the rear in stiff (on stock dampers). I’ve used the longer ones trimmed for length with Moton and MCS shock packages. https://www.resuspension.com/index.php/bump-stops/re-suspension/cot-series.html

Re: Suspension

Yep, looks like a solid selection. I’ve always bought through these folks (who sell basically the same stuff):

Their COT foam bumpstops are what I’ve used in the past with good results.

Re: Suspension

GS-R rates are 200lbs/in front and 95lb/in in rear. TL and TSX are ~300lb/in front and ~150lbs/in rear for reference. Even the CTR is under 300lbs/in. I would stay under 450lb/in and under on a lowered street car with nice non extreme performance tires that will have a softer side wall to improve t...

Re: Thursday Musings: 996TT or CTR?

Is the use-case for spirited daily commuter? Funny, I read “996T” and immediately thought of you. Yes? Mostly commuter/street car. Very occasional autox and track car... been getting to that stuff less and less lately. Planning to maybe do some GridLife Touring Cup and/or Enduro wheel to whee...

Re: Thursday Musings: 996TT or CTR?

I sold a 997 Turbo for an Type R. Worst mistake of my life. Please don’t do this. Any particular reason for the regret? Everyone I’ve talk with who owns a CTR has had great stuff to say about the handling dynamics. These are experienced wheel to wheel and autox folks so they’re people I trust to kn...

Thursday Musings: 996TT or CTR?

Yeah, yeah, yeah... Car ADD is a legit problem for me. I’ve had the 996TT for a little over a year and find myself day dreaming over whether it would be worth it to swap out to a CTR. I’ll freely admit that the stock CTR looks still don’t completely do it for me but they look pretty damn good ...

Re: Suspension tuning - dampers, spring rates, etc.

I’ve never tried a legit no bar setup. Always seemed sorta silly to me unless it was just a “let me see what it’s like” sorta thing. Bars are a GREAT thing to use for tuning; no reason not to have one unless you’re constrained by rules. Having said all that, West Coast Scott (Rinde, the Soooper Geni...

Re: Suspension tuning - dampers, spring rates, etc.

The issue with revalving is that you also sorta want the bodies shortened... and by the time you do that, you’re spending close to as much as it would cost to buy new Koni Race (revalved/shortened). I’d suggest looking at the cost for them new and then sell off the current shocks or toss them in the...

Re: Rolex 24Hrs of Daytona Schedule + HART CTR

Bummer seeing the finish to the 24 end like it did. Super rad seeing Tomo win and getting to catch up with him a tiny bit Saturday. Great meeting Navin and getting to chat with Luke a Friday after the 4 Hour Enduro. I took a few minutes to ogle the HART car... holy crap is that thing well put togeth...

Re: which header of these two

True info on header design and interreaction with everything else you have on/in the motor. IMO, I’d snag a Toda Replica from PLM. They flow well on stock/bolt-on motors, have great ground clearance, and are remarkably well made for the price tag. I’ve had 2 of them in the past and would buy again (...
