Re: got to do some wrenchen today!

Spent this morning pulling some bolts, aluminum brackets, misc stuff and have them a bath in 30% vinegar. Pulled the PS belt off and the lower bracket and painted it. Did some cleaning and restoring in the engine bay in the areas I pulled parts https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201004/1601a574a69b2...

Re: Hard Race Bushing Failure - Educational

Im guessing those are the "good" moog's. Most ive bought from autoparts stores have been junk that have the moog name on them.

I did buy some Proforged outer tie rods that look nice and beefy. I have not installed them yet on 98 civic.

got to do some wrenchen today!

Thanks Luke! I took the car out tonight for a short drive to check for clunks or anything not buttoned down. Everything checks out A OK. I was surprised that the car actually rode much smoother with the higher spring rates ( lowered 1inch) and koni yellows. I’m guessing the koni’s are on the softest...

Re: FS: 96-00 civic Mugen whale tail

It’s going to be a few days, maybe this weekend. Like I said in my original post finding a box big enough will be difficult.

Re: got to do some wrenchen today!

Last weekend and this weekend I was able to work some more on the car. 1) the rear lower bar was showing its age so I pulled it off and repainted it along with new bolts. I sanded the original paint and rust spots off then used VHT epoxy paint and an old can of silver I had that matched pretty well....

FS: 96-00 civic Mugen whale tail

I have no idea if its real or not. I bought it a long time ago under the assumption it was real. Shipping would be tough because a box that size is hard to come by but I am willing to ship if the seller wants it on their dime. It has no stamps other than the emblem which I believe is incorrect for t...

Re: got to do some wrenchen today!

I'm impressed with your lip paint efforts. The contours and fragile nature of the lip lead me to think this is a slow and steady process. What are your plans for replacing the FLCA bushings? That "sunk" bushing is common with age. The new OEM bushings I installed in my 97 showed drop even...
