If you want to refresh the P72 head instead of finding a PR3 head, you can also do so and purchase the old blox or gen 1 Skunk-2 ITR clone intake manifolds. They are available used and are very similar to the original P73 intake ...

I have an 01 gsr that needs to be rebuilt this spring and im toying with the idea of building a 'poor mans type R' motor

skunk2 stage 1 cams (or ITR cams if i can find them)
valve springs/retainers/etc
p73-A0 pistons
itr intake manifold
plm 4-2-1 header

would a stock USDM ...
