Re: 97-0202 Build

Been a while again since I drove the caR. Only thing I did was change the oil before hitting the track 3/26/22. The last time the car felt semi fast was a few years ago on the fresh Maxxis RC-1 Tires. This past weekend on the federals I was able to best my last previous best of a 1.22.507 with a 1.2...

Re: 97-0202 Build

Damn seeing that rear spindle shearing looks freighting to experience. What are your general impressions running 17s vs 15s? I have the engine turned down (detuned) for the rules my local series runs, so I am currently at 167 whp. That being said, if I keep momentum up they are great. However, I ca...

Re: 97-0202 Build

Wow, long time no update. Last post I was inquiring about the different sides of my RTAs. Well come to find out when I picked up the caR it had the rear conversion using the 4x100 spindles. Unfortunately I had to find out the hard way. Me not knowing, when I did the hub/bearing assembly I used OEM I...

Re: 97-0202 Build

So I picked up some used 225/45r15 hoosier r7 tires. Wow these are a good bit wider than the RC1 in the same size. That being said, in the rear I am getting rubbing on the RTA. However, it is only on driver side RTA. Is there an alignment adjustment that could cause the tire to be rubbing only on on...

Re: Tire Information Thread

Thanks for the replies. I have seen the tires being sold/mounted/used on insta, but have not been able to find more in depth comparisons, or as much detail than what has already been provided by the Speed Academy video. Edit: I did see that tire tread failure posted, but did not know it was a mustan...

Re: Tire Information Thread

Has anyone state side here on the site try out the Nankang AR-1 yet? Super interested to try it, but not in the right moment too. So I am hoping to find someone who has tried it. (Yes I have seen Speed Academy's review)

Re: 97-0202 Build

Some changes have happen since the last update. I went to GTA SLB again, got a wild hair and said "fuck it" throw some aero on. So home made splitter set up and wing. Airfoil was made by a friend that bought some sort of foam core already shaped, and then wrapped it in carbon fiber. End pl...
