WTB: NICE Black Recaro SR-3 OR busted ones any color
I spent too much time trying to haggle via email the 9/10 ones posted the other day by @geniusstreetrace_shop (IG) so now I get to pay the price. Looking for either a super cheap busted set of any type from any car(?) I can put new foams and covers on (as OEM covers seem to be still available from J...

Re: Free Alignment course
Thanks for the pointer! I watched it, and it gave me the confidence to do a string alignment with jack stands in the garage. Might pick up a gauge for camber/caster or brush up on my trig. HPAcademy seems cool, but they sell hard to the point of turning me off. Was instantly spammed with texts/email...

Re: Tech - Type R Transmission Gearing, Shiftpoints, and Final Drive Discussion
It seems in your use case, canyon driving, that might be better too. especially since you have to be going into the triple digits on the street to go that fast in 5th gear. I would keep your eyes peeled for new/used USDM 4th & 5th sets, as these are discontinued now. I'll try to get back to mak...

Re: Tech - Type R Transmission Gearing, Shiftpoints, and Final Drive Discussion
What are your use cases? What is your engine setup? I recently built a new transmission using an OEM JDM 98+ as the base, so 4.7FD, but switched to USDM/UKDM 4th & 5th gears to maximize 15'' wheels. I'm also planning to switch cams to broaden + match my power band to this gearing: https://www.t...

Re: Tech - Type R Transmission Gearing, Shiftpoints, and Final Drive Discussion
I bought my USDM R with a bad ISB. I've been driving it for 15k miles or so and have had a 4.785 apart on my bench (for a few years) waiting to go in when I take the USDM one out. I have an LS 5th gear and counter I was going to stick in the JDM trans to drop highway revs a bit, but after reading th...

Re: 98’ Purge solenoid vs 2000 purge solenoid
Hi everyone, I am in the midst of restoring my car and was able to pick up a 2000 CDM ITR Purge solenoid with bracket and hoses. However, the hose the comes from the purge solenoid to the evap canister is too short. Any idea what it could be? From my knowledge they should be the same. I wasn’t able...

Re: Advice for using ITR as daily driver?
Whoa-it's Oddomatic! You wouldn't believe how many hours I spent using your online service manual. It's still my go-to for most projects. It warms my heart to hear someone besides me uses it, haha! Thanks for posting. What you're saying about the NSX mirrors my experience, so it's helpful to hear y...

Re: Advice for using ITR as daily driver?
A lot has already been covered but I'll add my experience with NSX and ITR... The ITR is a tin-can in comparison to what you've experienced in the NSX. It feels much more fragile and I agree with the questions on crash ratings if that's a concern. They are two completely different (and epic) areas o...
